Prostate Cancer UK Marathon Run 7th June 2026
We set ourselves the challenge of runnning locomotives the equlivant distance of two marathons.
Around our raised level track that equated to 268 laps.
We started off at 9.30am running in one hour slots with the aim of having at least two locos running round to get the laps in.
Midway through the afternoon we achevied the 268 laps which is 2 marathons. We decided to keep going and see how many we coud do. we finished at 5.30pm and managed to get 430 laps in (402 laps was 3 marathons) racking up an imressive 84.29 miles.
Along with running on the raised level track we had a group running on the Gauge One track and they achevied 323 laps of the oval equating to 11.01 miles.
The total combined distance was 95.3 miles which is the equivalent of 3.64 marathons.
